      Through our long experience we wondered why it is difficult to see puppet shows. The answer is very simple: the puppet theater is a miniature reproduction of a real theater. Therefore requires very spacious and very high places in order to represent all events. Another reason is cost, a troupe of puppeteers is composed of at least 6 people, with a consequent increase in costs of management of the company itself and of course, affect the cost of the shows. We also realized that this pattern creates difficulties for those who have the task of organizing exhibitions, festivals, or even a regular theatrical programming, thus penalizing a wide range of clients who often has never seen a puppet, could lead to extinction the puppet theater in Italy.        By our choice, we do not have a permanent theater that forces the audience to go there, to address the above concerns, we have therefore decided to revise the shows because they can be represented with a more agile, can be installed virtually anywhere, even in small spaces and maintain the characteristic of traveling company without compromising the quality of the shows themselves. With this new formula Le  Marionette Gambarutti have arrived in November 1996, at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa for a week of performances

      But the shows, although is the core activity, are not the only.

      The Company is also involved in organizing to promote this ancient art in their own or on commission, courses, workshops, seminars and stages, targeted at different age groups, from children to adults.

      We also want to emphasize what it means to be puppeteer, the term implies the sum of all the people who are part of the drama theater, because the puppeteer is not only one "who pulls the strings", but is also a sculptor, carpenter, painter, production designer, costume designer, electrician, etc. etc.. The experience gained over the years allows us to dedicate ourselves to the pursuit of sets for plays, one example is the collaboration with the Festival Committee of the Palio di Legnano, for the construction of sets of some shows performed in conjunction with the Palio: "Murder in the Cathedral" by Eliot, "Everybody" by Hugo von Hoffmansthal, "Osidarap", inspired by the mythical Paradise Feast by Leonardo da Vinci, and "The Feast of Fools", inspired by those events in which any medieval people, for one day, could afford to make fun of the powerful and the clergy.
